About Next Chapter
A picture book enthusiast and advocate for movement-based programming, Christina MacKinnon founded Next Chapter after a decade in library leadership revealed critical gaps in support for public workers and in trainings focused on building workplaces grounded in trust, respect, and openness. To address these gaps, she provides comprehensive training, programming, and consulting services that help organizations create safe, inclusive, and dynamic spaces for both staff and the communities they serve.
Christina holds a Master of Arts in English and a Master of Library and Information Science, along with a British Association of Teachers Dance license and an American Council on Exercise license, blending her expertise in storytelling, literacy, movement, and public service.
